Breakouts and Meltdowns: The Statistical Analysis

Transworld Motocross released that their sister publication Transworld Business releases exposure meters for different members of the Transworld family throughout the year. The most recent one was for moto and it produced some interesting results. The study looked at Transworld's July issue, as well as competitors Racer X and Motocross Action. The scoring was based on a fixed points system which took into account both editorial features and advertisements.

It was no surprise to see Ryan Villopoto dominating the top with a whooping 72,400 points. The breakdown also ranks each rider compared to their previous result. The greatest improvement in the top ten? Eli Tomac, who jumped up two positions into the number eight spot, just behind Cole Seely. The top 250 rider in the statistics is Justin Barcia in sixth. Chad Reed was beat out by veteran and fan-favorite, Kevin Windham.
