Searle's Homecoming
Round thirteen of the 2012 FIM MX1 and MX2 Motocross World Championship series went to Matterley Basin for the Grand Prix of Great Britain. In the MX2 class, it was the local Brit Tommy Searle that got the job done for the British moto crazies. The Monster/Pro Circuit/ Kawasaki rider used two good starts to get to the front in both motos and was pressured by Championship points leader, Jeffrey Herlings, all day long. Despite that pressure, Tommy used the energy from the huge English crowd to keep the #84 behind eating his roost all day. With Tommy's 1-1 on the day, he chipped away at Herlings’ huge points lead but still has a giant fifty-one point mountain to climb with only three rounds left on the calendar.
With Searle's MX2 win, the vibe was incredible at Matterley Basin. You can relive the emotion in the awesome highlight edit from moto.mpora.com below.
